Example scenario

An illustrative campaign needs ten accepted eight-second clips. At 25 percent acceptance, expected generations are 40. A hypothetical rate of 0.10 dollars per generated second produces 32 dollars of generation cost. Three editing minutes per accepted clip at 20 dollars per hour add 10 dollars, for an expected 42-dollar budget or 4.20 dollars per accepted clip.

Formula and methodology

Accepted clips = deliverables x accepted variants per deliverable. Expected generations = accepted clips / acceptance fraction. Generation cost = expected generations x seconds per clip x price per generated second. Editing cost = accepted clips x editing minutes / 60 x editing hourly rate. Total budget adds generation, editing and fixed production costs. Positive deliverables at zero acceptance have no finite estimate.
